What is Hobby Horsing? Hobby horsing is a fun and imaginative activity that combines movement, creativity, horsemanship and community. Whether you're taking your first ride, learning to jump, practising dressage movements or competing with friends, hobby horsing offers something for everyone. Hobby horsing involves riding and caring for a hobby horse while taking part in activities inspired by traditional equestrian sports. You can practise: - Show jumping - Dressage - Outdoor riding and games - Competitions and events - Making and decorating hobby horses - Clubs and social activities - Fitness, movement and coordination -Creative challenges and games You don't need a real horse or expensive equipment to get started. A hobby horse, some imagination and a willingness to have fun are all you really need.
Who is it for? For Beginners - Never tried hobby horsing before? Start here. Learn the basics, choose your first hobby horse and discover how much fun riding can be. For Experienced Riders - Improve your skills, learn new movements, practice jumps and challenge yourself with competitions and events. For Parents & Families - Hobby horsing can encourage physical activity, creativity, confidence and friendships in a supportive environment. It's for everyone.
